Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We were all shocked and scared in March when Coronavirus arrived, our country then became a pandemic which led to the lockdown.

The church services ceased, planned events cancelled and activities in the Hall stopped. Weddings were cancelled and numbers attending funerals were severely restricted. All of which was necessary to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.

We are now delighted to have the church open again for Sunday worship. By following the guidelines from the Church of Scotland and Scottish Government it means keeping social distance, sanitising all surfaces, using hand sanitiser and wearing face masks inside.

Rev Dr Alwyn Landman is now delivering a message and prayers in the church every Sunday at 10am for 30 minutes. As no singing is allowed, videos of hymns with words and music are played on the Audio-Visual system. A new and exciting way to enhance the service.

We pray that everyone is safe and looking forward to returning to Sunday
worship again.

Christmas Shoebox Appeal

Over the last six years, Coylton Parish Church has supported Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Appeal. Last year we sent over fifty boxes to the appeal.

With the difficulties of the COVID-19 restrictions understandably it will be difficult for some people to take part this year. As an alternative you can very easily fill a box online. To find out how go to:

However, the church will still be accepting boxes and donations for those who wish to take part. Boxes should be delivered to the church by Sunday 8th November at the latest.
